General Description:
Compounders are responsible for the manufacturing of bulk products. The materials and products they handle are very expensive. Any spill or error in the handling of these materials may result in a significant loss to company. All work must be carefully and accurately performed and documented to meet requirements set by our customers and by the FDA. Anything less than the complete compliance in these areas may result in significant liability to the company and the company's reputation. Compounders must be capable of developing strict habits to minimize the possibility of error in their work. They must be able to work in an environment where their work is closely reviewed with a minimum of error.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
Sets up equipment as needed to compound products.
Completes and verifies manufacturing documentation as required.
Uses scales, meters, and manual measurements to measure material quantities.
Operates various lifts to move materials to and from pallet racks.
Able to perform basic troubleshooting of equipment, make basic repairs, and involve
supervision and maintenance as needed.
Follows written procedures from batch records, SOP's, and departmental procedures
in the compounding of bulk products.
Identifies and communicates discrepancies with materials, products or equipment.
Work with supervision, maintenance, QC, and R&D in the resolution of discrepancies.
Clean and sanitary in the handling of equipment and materials.
Maintains a clean and professional personal appearance and working area.
Wears personal protective equipment as required
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
No allergies or sensitivities to chemicals that preclude the handling of materials or
personal protective equipment.
Good overall physical condition.
Able move up to 50 pound bags.
Able to handle full 55 gallon drums.
Able to wear respirator if applicable.
Educational Requirements:
High school education or equivalent.
Good communications skills: speaking, reading, and writing.
Good math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Qualifications:
Able to be qualified in the use of all lifts.
Able to work independently and as a team player.
Mechanical aptitude to understand the use of pumps, homogenizers, and other
equipment used in the manufacturing of products.
Pay: DOE
Hours: 4/10 Schedule
6am-4pm
