R&D / Food Technologist


A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced R&D, Food Technologist to join their growing team. Performs a variety of duties relating to Research & Development in a facility specializing in a variety of food products including: protein, cheese, sauces, spices, baked goods, and vegetables. These duties include but are not limited to the development of new products from initial bench-top concept to a commercially producible product, provide technical support to other departments such as sales and production, and reverse engineering recipes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the follow:

Ability to read and analyze formulas
Ability to write product spec's and procedures
Ability to collect and analyze data
Knowledge of food ingredient functionality
Reverse engineering recipes
Must be able to use lab analytically equipment
Knowledge and understanding of GMP's, SSOP's, Allergens, food safety rules and regulations
Knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations
Complies with all company policies and procedures
Understand and adhere to government regulations and documentation requirements
Must be able to provide written or face to face reports on progress on projects

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The right candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, growing environment and enjoy product innovation and creativity. A degree in Food Science related field is required.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
