R&D Director

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


Demonstrated knowledge of encapsulation, powders, tablet formulations and powder flavoring


Developing flavor profiles for multiple products for multiple product applications


Must be aware of the granulation and milling processes


Identify chemical processes and deviations i.e. what materials can't be granulated and/or can't be mixed together


Direct blending, capsule weight/sizing, and product specs to ensure product accuracy


Create effective and safe supplement formulations for multiple delivery systems - including but not limited to capsules, tablets and powders


Ensure product compliance


Develop products with an awareness of budgets


Recommend new technology for production needs


Education and/or Required Experience


Bachelor degree in Chemistry or Biology related science with 5-7 years lab experience in FDA regulated industry.


5-7 years of R&D experience with increasing responsibilities


Expertise in GMP and FDA regulations


High degree of analytical and problem solving skills


Technical writing skills


Ability to work well with cross-functional teams


Progressive experience in analytical chemistry preferably in dietary supplement, nutra or food industry.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit, the employee must infrequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderately loud (production) to relatively quiet (office/lab).





Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
