Office Clerk/legal Admin- L.a.

At Mandarich Law Group, LLP, we are looking for great people to bring their passion and strong work ethic to the job. We are a creditors' rights law firm located in Chatsworth, CA. You should expect to handle high volumes of tasks and have your performance measured to expectations. We are looking for hard working and high achieving personality types.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Monday thru Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

We also handle several other states out of the CA office, including WA, OR, HI, AK, ID, and NV.
Job Summary:
Essential Job Functions:
Organize and track case files
Manage legal forms and documents
Must be proficient in Excel and word
Preferred: Minimum one to two years of experience in a legal setting (not required)
Knowledge of complete cycle of legal procedure from filing of suit through default judgment a plus
Minimum: High School Diploma
Prior law firm experience a plus
Skills/Knowledge/Education (Preferred):
Knowledge of basic civil litigation
Read and comprehend credit reports, bankruptcy documentation, and debtor correspondences
Knowledge of California civil procedure, including post-judgment remedies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum: High school diploma. Preferred: Bachelors or Paralegal Certificate.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOP Standard Operating Procedures and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
