Purchasing Assistant

Seeking a full time Purchasing Assistant. This position will provide support to the department through a variety of tasks.?

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES?Include but are not limited to:?

? Interpreting inventory reports for planning and purchasing to ensure adequate stock is available for manufacturing.
? Creating purchase orders according to established company policy.?
? Sourcing components, equipment, supplies, and contractors.?
? Maintaining good relationships with vendors.
? Following up on open orders to ensure timely deliveries.?
? Negotiating payment terms, pricing and delivery.
? Coordinating with manufacturing staff.
? Resolving order discrepancies and quality issues.?

REQUIREMENTS:?

? Minimum of 2-3 years of purchasing experience. Other business experience may be acceptable.?
? Proficient knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP systems.?
? Ability to problem solve and multi-task efficiently; must be able to work on simultaneous projects while handling new tasks as they arise.
? Solid follow up aptitude, and ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
? Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional sense of organization and thorough in completing work tasks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
