Sanitation Technician

Job Description

Cleans and sanitizes food production lines, production equipment and plant areas according to the sanitation schedule.
Position Responsibilities:
o Clean equipment in the production area
o Clean facility and grounds
o Wash equipment used in food preparation, either by hand or in dishwasher
o Disassembles equipment using the correct tools and following proper procedures to prevent equipment damage and to assure the equipment is cleaned properly
o Complete paperwork
o Keep supplies stocked
o Strictly adhere to sanitation, safety regulations and procedures, GMPs and HACCP
o Mix chemicals to appropriate concentrations
o Assist co-workers when necessary
o Communicate issues and important information to the appropriate person immediately
o Adhere to company policies and core values
o Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
o Ability to follow procedures
o Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and allergen requirements
o Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
o Handle chemicals in appropriate manner
o Ability to climb a ladder or work from a lift
o Ability to read and understand safety instructions and labels in English
o Teamwork skills
o Ability to complete measurement conversions
o Ability to work extended hours and weekends
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of the job the employee will stand for an extended period of time, walk, bend, stoop, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., use arms and hands at or above shoulder height, work atop a ladder, and operate equipment. The employee will work in a manufacturing environment with machine noise. Manufacturing area temperature varies from 50 F to 100 F depending on the outside temperature. Employee will be working with numerous sanitizing chemicals. Occasionally work in refrigerator and freezer.





Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
