Senior Director, Regional IPA Operations

Overview of position: Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and supervising the functions and activities of the IPA primary care networks and specialty delivery networks at Healthcare Partners (HCP). Develops and monitors goals, implements and leads budgets, handles enrollment growth and retention, patient satisfaction, provider network relations and education. Assists with the overall administrative direction of the region. Are you ready to make an impact in Patient outcomes? Essential functions: Develops, implements, monitors and ensures adherence to policies and procedures for HCP and its IPA networks. Leads start-up of new networks including provider contracts, credentialing and implementation Implements and handles budgets for all accountable departments and functions. Assists the Vice President, Regional Operations in the development, coordination and implementation of regional business plans and operational activities. Works with the Regional Accountable Team (RAT) to assist in the monitoring of resource utilization in the region. Enacts plans to improve efficiencies or reduce expenses. Develops and implements plans to improve regional provider happiness and performance. Monitors patient satisfaction in the region and implements plans to continually improve services provided to our patients. Makes recommendations for growth projects within the region and works collaboratively with other departments as needed to execute those plans. Provides input and feedback to the RAT as it relates to initiatives and programs that promote excellence in the IPA operational services and implements those that are approved. Works closely with central departments to ensure that issues impacting that region that involve central departments are resolved effectively and timely. Administers all IPA incentive plans including input on plan design, producing plan documents, provider education and payouts. Facilitates provider and staff education including community meetings, lunch and learns, provider office in-services, and other targeted in-services as necessary. Sees opportunities for improvement within the IPA and brings forward proposals to the RAT incorporating solutions. Work closely with the physician leadership of the IPA to garner support for IPA initiatives and get their feedback as to what initiatives will be most successful. Schedules operating meetings with selected physicians including ensuring the agenda is developed in advance, issuing minutes and tracking follow-up items to ensure completion. Handles direct reports to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations and provides leadership and direction to them. Performs counseling as necessary. Performs additional duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college. Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or Nursing preferred. Experience: Minimum: Over 7 years of experience. Preferred: 4 to 6 years management experience (preferably in a medical group or IPA setting). IPA network development experience. Knowledge, skills, abilities: Computer-literate. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Shown leadership abilities. Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively with peers and subordinates. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
