Job description
GOVERNMENT CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
Under limited technical direction, administers contracts of significant high volume to ensure fulfillment of contractual fiscal and performance obligations. Provide excellent verbal and written communication within and across teams and customers. Identifies potential business opportunities, generates proposals, monitors performance, negotiates pricing and terms, and ensures compliance with contract requirements. May be required to participate in other specialized assignments. Individual contributor role reporting to the contracts/ compliance manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Working knowledge of FARS/DFARS
Analyzes contract performance requirements, including unique or unusual special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with law, regulations, corporate policy and procedures.
Understanding of TINA Compliant Proposals
Negotiation of Pricing and Terms and Conditions
Forecasting Methodology
Contract Review and LTA experience
Lead/Responsible for proposals preparation
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or six years related experience
PREFERRED
Aerospace Experience
Knowledge of Export Regulations
After Market Experience
Excel Skills
Cost estimating
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (BA) in Business Administration or six years related experience. Contract management certification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through six or more years of progressive experience.
Thorough knowledge of contract administration principles, industry practices, regulations, and policies.
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contract administration, government procurement, and export compliance.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of corporate and division policies and administrative procedures.
Proficient in the use of standard business applications software and specialized in-house and customer systems.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and contracts and recommend changes to procedures.
Ability to respond to significant inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to review complex solicitations and prepares specialized responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services.
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, customers, and top management.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
